Kabland Golf Complex Development

The new golf project in Bulgaria is the Kabland golf course, which will be the biggest golf complex in the Southern Black Sea coast. It will be situated near the village of Kableshkovo. The developer is the Spanish company Kabland Ltd, the main investor being Thomas Gallagher, David Newman, and Nicholas Gallagher, who are one of the biggest builder contractors and investors in southern Spain.

The future golf complex in Bulgaria will be spread over area of 2 000 000 sq m between the village of Kableshkovo and the city of Bourgas. The plans of the complex include 18 hole golf course on terrain of 850 000 sq m, a racecourse, polo centre, football and sports stadium, tennis centre, casino, hotel complexes, swimming pools, restaurants, bars and other leisure facilities, evaluated at 194 million euro. There will be strong investments in infrastructure too.

Thomas Gallagher, one of the investors of the project, said that the terrain near Kbleshkovo looks like it has been created for a golf course on purpose. The ground breaking ceremony of the Black Sea Golf and Country Club was held on 24 October 2007 in the Kableshkovo, near the town of Pomorie. The Kabland Golf project has already the necessary detailed zoning plan and an environmental impact assessment. The facilities and vacation homes will be designed by Spanish architects and the construction will be carry out by local companies. The chief architect of the golf project will be Mark Jones, who has designed some of the biggest golf courses in Bahamas and Abu Dhabi. After three years of the Kabland golf complex development near Kableshkovo the investors expect the golf facilities, the hotel and 700 villas and apartments to be finished with the associated infrastructure.

The future golf complex â??Kablandâ?? is close to the Bourgas airport and it is designed as an all year round tourist destination with potential to welcome many golf tourists. Thomas Gallagher believes that Bulgaria has a great potential to develop as an attractive destination for golf tourism.
